The Earth is Full
03:41

The earth is full of your steadfast love, oh Lord
The earth is full of your steadfast love
From mountain high to meadow green
I have tasted, I have seen
The earth is full of your steadfast love
You multiply your wondrous deeds toward us
You daily prove your faithfulness
All your children will proclaim
The glory of our Father’s name
You multiply your wondrous deeds
You are a hiding place for me
On the day when trouble comes and brings me low
When my enemies surround, your deliverance resounds
Though the darkness falls, you will preserve my soul
The earth is full of your steadfast love, oh Lord
Your mercy rich forever stands
In the world we will have trouble
But you give to us your peace
The earth is full of your steadfast love
I lift my eyes up to the hills
To the one who made the heavens and the earth
Though my faith shifts like the wind, his grace to me will never end
He will keep me both now and forevermore
I will trust (I will trust him, I will trust him)
In your steadfast love (I will trust his steadfast love)
I will trust (I will trust him, I will trust him)
In your steadfast love (I will trust his steadfast love)
I will trust in your steadfast love

I am the son who fled his home
You are the Father I disowned
When grief was all my wandering earned
You held a feast when I returned
May I forgive, as I have been forgiven
May I lend, expecting nothing in return
May your power be perfected in my weakness
Oh God, give me grace
To love as I have been loved
I am the man beside the road
Beaten, bloody, dying slow
You are the one who stopped to help
Compassion thinks not of itself
May I forgive, as I have been forgiven
May I lend, expecting nothing in return
May your power be perfected in my weakness
Oh God, give me grace
To love as I have been loved
“Be merciful,
even as your father is merciful.
Freely you received, freely give.
Love your enemies
and bless those who curse you”
May I forgive, as I have been forgiven
May I lend, expecting nothing in return
May your power be perfected in my weakness
Oh God, give me grace
To love as I have been loved

Strange and mysterious is my life,
What opposites I feel within!
A stable peace, a constant strife,
The rule of grace, the pow'r of sin:
Too often I am captive led,
Yet daily triumph in my Head.
I prize the privilege of prayer,
But o! what backwardness to pray!
Though on the Lord I cast my care,
I feel its burden every day:
I seek his will in all I do,
Yet find my own is working too.
I call the promises my own,
And prize them more than mines of gold;
Yet though their sweetness I have known,
They leave me unimpressed and cold
One hour upon the truth I feed,
The next I know not what I read.
I love the holy day of rest,
When Jesus meets his gathered saints;
Sweet day, of all the week the best!
For its return my spirit pants:
Yet often, through my unbelief,
It proves a day of guilt and grief.
While on my Savior I rely,
I know my foes shall lose their aim;
And therefore dare their pow'r defy,
Assured of conquest through his name:
But soon my confidence is slain,
And all my fears return again.
Thus different pow'rs within me strive,
And grace, and sin, by turns prevail;
I grieve, rejoice, decline, revive,
And vict'ry hangs in doubtful scale:
But Jesus has his promise passed,
That grace shall overcome at last.

In the garden, You prayed
For the cup of grief to pass
A weight so great,
You would be crushed beneath the task
And yet you bore
All my punishment and pain
That I might bear
The light of my Redeemer's name
We will count it all joy
Every trial, every tear
When the bitter cup we drink overflows
You are shelter and shade
Ever sure, ever near
Though we suffer, we are not left alone
We are never left alone
"Abba, Father!" we cry
As we wrestle with our fears
Your Spirit speaks
Giving grace to persevere
The strife we face
In this storm that will not yield
Does not compare
To the glory that will be revealed in us
Let Your glory be revealed in us
We will count it all joy
Every trial, every tear
When the bitter cup we drink overflows
You are shelter and shade
Ever sure, ever near
Though we suffer, we are not left alone
We will look to the life of the world to come
When all of creation is redeemed
As we pray that on earth
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done in all things
Let your will be done in all things
We will count it all joy
Every trial, every tear
When the bitter cup we drink overflows
You are shelter and shade
Ever sure, ever near
Though we suffer, we are not left alone
We will look to the life of the world to come
When all of creation is redeemed
As we pray that on earth
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done in all things
Let your will be done in all things
Though my troubles may not cease
Let your will be done in all things
There is nothing better for me
Let your will be done in all things

It is good to give you thanks, oh Lord
Good to sing your praise
To declare your faithfulness by night,
Your steadfast love each day
You have made me glad
By the work of your hands
The riches of your grace
You have been my rock
And my righteousness
And you will be all my days
In the presence of my enemies,
When the shadows grow so long
You prepare a lavish feast for me
You sing a victor's song
You have made me glad
By the work of your hands
The riches of your grace
You have been my rock
And my righteousness
And you will be all my days
As the redwoods tower overhead
Or the roses blush in bloom
So your people flourish unrestrained
When they find their all in you
You have made me glad
By the work of your hands
The riches of your grace
You have been my rock
And my righteousness
And you will be all my days

Spirit, come as love
that I may adore the Father,
who makes the orphans family,
and love him as my all
Spirit, come as joy,
planting roots within me deeply
to bear fruits of obedience,
to animate my love
As the sun is full of light,
as the waters fill the sea
As your glory fills the earth,
may my heart be full of thee
Spirit, come as light
to illuminate the Scriptures,
to guide me into wisdom,
to mold me in your ways
Spirit, come as pow’r
to expel my rebel longings
to reign supreme, unrivaled
to daily sanctify
As the sun is full of light,
as the waters fill the sea
As your glory fills the earth,
may my heart be full of thee
As a fountain unimpaired,
cleanse within and give me sight
Of realities unseen, of the life I have in Christ
May I gladly now forsake
every idol I have known,
leave their empty promises,
clinging to the cross alone
Spirit come, my help
with the strength to bless and keep me
From chaos and confusion,
bring order, beauty, peace
As the sun is full of light,
as the waters fill the sea
As your glory fills the earth,
may my heart be full of thee

Let me hear what God the Lord will speak
He will speak peace to his people
Let me hear what God the Lord will speak
He will speak peace to his people
Turn away our eyes
From worthless things and revive us in your way
Let us not turn back
But let us rest in Your nearness day by day
Let me hear what God the Lord will speak
He will speak peace to his people
Let me hear what God the Lord will speak
He will speak peace to his people
Faithfulness and steadfast love spring up
From the goodness You have sown
Righteousness and justice
Are the fruit of the mercy you have shown
Let me hear what God the Lord will speak
He will speak peace to his people
Let me hear what God the Lord will speak
He will speak peace to his people

Trust in the Lord, you will find new strength
The Lord remembers his people
Look to the hills, your deliverer comes
The Lord remembers his people
Oh, how I long to be out of the sand,
My feet on a rock, my legs strong to stand
Troubles consume me, I don’t understand
I cry in distress, I reach for your hand
Trust in the Lord, you will find new strength
The Lord remembers his people
Look to the hills, your deliverer comes
The Lord remembers his people
You bared your arm in the midst of the sea,
When Jericho fell, with young David’s sling
You brought an end to sin’s reign over me
Oh Lord, give me faith, oh help me believe
Trust in the Lord, you will find new strength
The Lord remembers his people
Look to the hills, your deliverer comes
The Lord remembers his people
You put a new song in my mouth
You reign over all, you reign over all
You turn a gracious ear to me
You hear when I call, you hear when I call
All I have gained, I have counted as loss
To know Christ my king, to cling to his cross
Trust in the Lord, you will find new strength
The Lord remembers his people
Look to the hills, your deliverer comes
The Lord remembers his people

Great source of boundless pow'r and grace,
Attend my mournful cry;
In the dark hour of deep distress,
To thee, to thee I fly.
Thou art my strength, my life, my stay,
Assist my feeble trust;
Drive these distressing fears away,
And raise me from the dust.
O let me call thy grace to mind,
And trust thy glorious name;
Jehovah, pow'rful, wise, and kind,
Forever is the same.
Here let me rest, on thee depend,
My God, my hope, my all;
Be thou my everlasting friend,
And I can never fall.
O let me call thy grace to mind,
And trust thy glorious name;
Jehovah, pow'rful, wise, and kind,
Forever is the same.

For God alone, my soul waits in silence
From him comes my salvation
He alone is my rock and my fortress
I shall not be greatly shaken
For God alone, my soul waits in silence
From him comes my salvation
He alone is my rock and my fortress
I shall not be greatly shaken
Trust in him at all times, my soul
Pour out your heart before him
God is a refuge for us
God is a refuge for us

Sing to the Lord
He has triumphed in glory
Over our enemies strong
This is our God,
The God of our fathers
Praise him, with shouts and with song
The Lord is our keeper
Our footsteps are firm
Forevermore shall these things be
The Lord is our keeper,
Our wondrous salvation,
Our warrior, champion, king
After the plagues,
When he rescued his people,
Leading them out to be free,
Pharaoh pursued
But the Lord fought the battle,
Burying him in the sea
The Lord is our keeper
Our sovereign defender,
Our final and sure victory
The Lord is our keeper,
Our wondrous salvation,
Our warrior, champion, king
We walk a path
That is steep and is shrouded
Narrow, with thorns overgrown
Faithful is he,
Our Savior who called us
He will not leave us alone
The Lord is our keeper
Our shade for the journey,
Our light, our preserver, our home
The Lord is our keeper,
Our wondrous salvation,
Our warrior, champion, king
Who is like you,
So majestic and holy
Awesome in glorious deeds?
Steadfast, your love
Is the pillar that leads us,
The strength of the ones you redeem
The Lord is our keeper
So, let us hold fast
And follow wherever he leads
The Lord is our keeper,
Our wondrous salvation,
Our warrior, champion, king

The Church has waited long
Her absent Lord to see;
And still in loneliness she waits,
A friendless stranger she.
Age after age has gone,
Sun after sun has set,
And still, in weeds of widowhood,
She weeps, a mourner yet.
Saint after saint on earth
Has lived, and loved, and died;
And as they left us one by one,
We laid them side by side.
We laid them down to sleep,
But not in hope forlorn—
We laid them but to ripen there
Until that glorious morn.
The serpent’s brood increase,
The powers of hell grow bold,
The conflict thickens, faith is low,
And love is waxing cold.
How long, O Lord our God,
Holy and true and good,
Wilt Thou not judge Thy suffering church,
Her sighs and tears and blood?
We long to hear Thy voice,
To see Thee face to face,
To share Thy crown and glory then,
As now we share Thy grace
Should not the loving bride
The absent Bridegroom mourn?
Should she not wear the weeds of grief
Until her Lord return?
Come, Lord, and wipe away
The curse, the sin, the stain,
And make this blighted world of ours
Thine own fair world again.

The seed has fallen deep into the soil
The ground, well-tended, carefully prepared
Receives and keeps the tender life unspoiled
As it begins to climb for light and air
The Sower’s field grows full beneath the sun
As truth takes root and bears the fruit of faith
The harvest of the kingdom soon will come
Too plentiful a bounty to contain
We labor on; the Spirit goes before us
As we proclaim good news to all the world
We labor on for Christ will be victorious
We will press on until our Lord returns
The Spirit works in ways we cannot see
For only he can change the sinner’s heart:
His boundless grace, an awesome mystery,
The second birth, a matchless work of art
We labor on; the Spirit goes before us
As we proclaim good news to all the world
We labor on for Christ will be victorious
We will press on until our Lord returns
One day, the saints of God will take their rest
When all the work is finally complete
Around the table, we will sit as guests
Gathered as one to share the Master’s feast
We labor on; the Spirit goes before us
As we proclaim good news to all the world
We labor on for Christ will be victorious
We will press on until our Lord returns
We labor on; the work is laid before us
We labor on though all creation groans
We labor on until we join the chorus
When every knee shall bow before his throne
Yes, every knee shall bow before his throne
Every knee shall bow before his throne
